1. Throughout my life as a student and career woman, diversity has been situationally sparse or populated. While working lower end jobs such as retail, food service, or even in entry-level courses for school, there are a plethora of people who are from similar walks of life as myself. Meaning they were born and raised in Brooklyn, are female, are fully- black women with a Caribbean or southern decent. As I slowly began to progress in careers and education, I began to less and less of myself in the room. When I entered my senior year of undergrad, I was the only black woman in my course.
